BRUSSELS | Covid-19: innovating a 500-years old tradition
Covid-19. A world paused. Spaces that once brought people together now stood empty, a silence imposed by a global lockdown. Isolating us in a way we had never experienced before.
Within the confines of my small room, I found myself standing at the crossroads of tradition and innovation. The solitude of the lockdowns brought to light an undeniable truth: the need for connection, for a touch of tranquility in the midst of chaos. I realised that the ancient practices of the Japanese Tea Ceremony could be a beacon of hope.
Transforming a corner of my home, I began sharing the intricate beauty of the tea ceremony through the lens of my camera. Each session an invitation to pause, to breathe, to find a moment of peace.
This digital bridge, born out of necessity, became a lifeline for myself and those who joined me from distances great and small. It was a testament to the resilience of tradition, the transformative power of innovation, and the timeless quest for connection.
