IBIZA | Family bonding on a sun-drenched holiday

Having travelled to Ibiza, I found an unexpected sanctuary of calm amidst the island's pulsing energy. Here, I was given a special request to introduce the serene art of the Japanese tea ceremony to a vibrant family, each member busy with their whirlwind of life's demands.

As the parents sought a moment's respite, I turned to their children, radiant with youth. I showed them the power of silence and being present in the moment, how to hold the tea bowl, to whisk the matcha with reverence. We created an oasis of peace, where the only sounds were the soft whisk of bamboo and the gentle pour of green tea.

Upon their return, the parents were greeted by young tea masters. With newfound calm and pride, they served their parents, transforming our little corner of Ibiza into a realm of respect and familial bonds. In that moment, I saw barriers dissolve, leaving only the pure connection of family, united under the Ibiza sun.
