BRUSSELS | A Board of Directors' journey

In the Boardroom of a Private Equity firm, I found myself guiding the Directors through a journey unlike any other. With the ancient art of the Japanese tea ceremony, the delicate process of preparing matcha, we fostered a deep, unspoken dialogue of cultural understanding, mutual respect and collaboration.

The tea ceremony rituals, with its precise gestures and silent dialogue, became their language. The values crucial in business but also in life: dedication, active listening, non-verbal communication, omotenashi - selfless hospitality that nurtures mutual respect and understanding.

A journey about discovering how to appreciate each other, sharing vulnerability and strength.

Our final session, the act of serving matcha to one another, paired with the novel choice of Belgian chocolate Easter Bunnies, was a moment of profound connection: a circle of trust with a shared vision for the future.
